29/10/2008: version 2.1 released. This new version lists following updates:
- Packages (*.bpl) files stored in Projects/Bpl folder in Delphi directory weren't included in Log file: now they are.
- Log file now is stored with other backup files in the final archive.
21/10/2008: fixed a bug concerning the bpl files stored in Projects/Bpl folder backup. Now, these files are saved in their own archive. Fixed a bug for choice of destination folder also.
1/08/2008: fixed another bug for compatibility with Delphi 4. Furthermore, Windows Registry saving sectionhas been improved, adding HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key to brwoseble and saving keys. This maybe interfere with Vista protection system, so Vista users are asked to submit via email their experience using CDW on their systems.
7/10/2007: fixed a bug for compatibility with Delphi 4.
Its function is to allow to Delphi programmers to easily backup their Delphi installations with all settings and package sinstalled in order to move them into a new computer or to restore after a disaster.
You can choose what Delphi installation backup if you have more than one, and you can add so many folder as you wish (third party components folder, your own project folder and so on).
Clone Delphi Wizard Lite is totally free but allows only to create a backup zip file you can use then with your favourite zip/unzip program.
Support all Delphi version from 4 up to 7 (maybe to work with versions 2 and 3 also, but I've not tested with them), and has been tested with Delphi 2007 also, so I think it can run with Delphi 2005 and 2006 indifferently (if these Delphi versions use same storage criterias Delphi 2007).
Tested on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
